NASA travel awards to Extremophiles2018 for US based scientists
As part of a NASA supported TWSC grant, there are a number of travel grants available to US based scientist for attending the conference. Interested Graduate Students, Postdocs and Early Career Faculty (within 5 years from their appointment) with interest in Extremophiles and Astrobiology are encouraged to apply. Please fill in the application form (https://goo.gl/forms/0D9Aj7i4QaasTEVC3) and upload a 2 page NSF/NASA style biosketch, the abstract of your contribution and a 1 page letter motivating the request of funds in a single PDF. Travel award will reimburse costs associated with participating and presenting to the conference, and can be used to cover conference registration fee, travel, per diem and accommodation up to ~2,000 USD. Hotel Continental Ischia has a convention with the Extremophiles2018 conference with a competitive fee of €125/night (see the conference website for details). Successful awardee will be required to document all the expenses. Additional details will be provided. Applicants will be selected after the deadline by members of the scientific organizing committee on a competitive basis.
The deadline to apply for the travel grant is June 20. We expect award decisions to be made soon after.
